  • Hi dudes,

I've search the forum and can't find anything about which disk brake pad material is the most long lasting.

I've got a Pompino fixed bike with Pompetamine forks for a disk brake and I want the pads to be really hard wearing and last as long as possible to minimise having to change them all the time (sort of the whole point of riding fixed for me).

I've heard that organic pads are soft but mountain bikers have them so they can 'feather' the braking. (I don't want to bother with that; I'll use my legs to back peddle and feather brake with the back wheel). All sorts of other stories about diffeent disk brake pads too.

If there is a website out there with some diffinitive explanation can anyone direct me to it rather than asking if I've tryed Googleing it.

    Thanks much.
