Sorry I thought my original post spelled it out! I'm asking as most of the feedback is for parts and not wheels he's built, and certainly no feedback on his wheels will be after long term use, does that make it clear for you now?

Yes that's why Shacklewell reminded me of him, but as you can see from the post you quote, he used to call his business thehub.
He's definitely on the south coast now, posted 4 weeks ago on the Brighton forum. -

"Shacklewell Lane Workshop/Studio Space til 1st April". Can't be that much of a co-inky-dents can it?

Looks like he's from Leyton. Don't know him, though.
Good price for a hand made wheel. -

Hi Guys,
Just saw this post. I'm the Matt of Shacklewell Components.
To clear up:
My user name is mftempleton
I'm not smallbrownbike - who may have run TheHub and then moved to Brighton! And is almost certainly also called Matt.Shacklewell Components still exists but with the new trading name of Single Speed Components. I used to live and run the business in Shacklewell, now the business is a couple of miles West in Leyton
You can find me at singlespeedcomponents.co.uk, in my Ebay shop or get my number off either or from me here and give me a call
Finally, my wheels are not hand built. I don't want anyone misled. But I'll try to convince you they're good value products if pressed...
I've come on to clarify this but my thinking at the moment is that I shouldn't be coming on here mixing my business with the community. Hence me taking an age to find this.
Cheers.
Matt

I've bought from him as well, wheels are solid, no frills, which is Perfect for a beater or building something up for a Sunday riding friend, not that I've seen them ridden any other way...
Well worth a look in, lovely bloke.
Hi,
I was shopping around for a rear fixed wheel and found a guy called matt templeton on ebay selling this:

His rep looks good, just wondering if anybody has bought from him to see how good (or not) his product actually is........
