Avoid Oxford Street - full of drones seemingly fulfilling their apparent need for tat in the run up to the festive period. Also avoid Knightsbridge - same same but wealthier drones.
As Jammy says - head to Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park, but be warned - the fairground rides are prohibitively expensive and the mulled wine has the consistency of engine oil.
If you're riding then scoot through to east, Spitalfields/Brick Lane should be infinitely more entertaining this time of year. Ah - make sure you take a lock. Each.
