Just got back from Parkrun. That pain in my shins didn't come back, and the ache I normally get in my shins is less than after the previous two. Still a bloody wreck, but I think that's progress.
Sounds like the shin issue was just down to your legs needing to get used to running. Nice one. Thats not always the case with shins.
When on the turbo I tend to sit up straight for a lot of the time, bit will also lean forward with my elbows on the bars, and at positions in between these extremes- on the hoods, on the drops etc.
Whilst this is going on I also tend to towel myself down a fair bit to avoid needing to put the turbo on a mat.
I reckon that this would be asking for a corded pair of headphones to have the life expectancy of a chocolate fireguard.
From Googling all I have really found are headphones which connect with your telephone via Bluetooth, which my tv does not have, hence asking for some advice.
Man up, and duct tape them to your face......
....or get the hook-around-your-ear ones and run the cable down your back into a jersey pocket. I do this at the gym. Ever since I accidently flicked my Ipod at some 120kg polish weigtlifter.
