  • A ride to take in most of the best night time sights in central London, and because of the season that includes many festive public illuminations too. The ride is now in four halves, so peple can join at each of three stages if they wish. see below. I hope it has a bit of a magical mystery tour feel about it but, the general areas covered are below. It starts early for a night ride because it gets dark early in mid December and a later start will mean missing at least one pub stop and some of the Christmas lights which go out from 10.30 onwards.

It''s long for a city ride; There'll be much twisting down alleys, looping back across our route and cobbles and small sections of off-road are included.

Because of this you need a bike that you're comfortable on for longer than a commute and tyres which will sustain exposure to glass and off-road: not much off road, a some gravel, some mud, (some ice?)

I have drink, food and wc stops included.

Weather forecast is for clear skies, but temperatures feeling as low as -7 degrees! On my part that means two pairs of gloves, two layers of socks and a fleecy hat with face cover.

start point: Look Mum No Hands.

    end point: Brick Lane.

distance: approx 60 miles. (this will now be nearer to 45).

duration: 7+ hours no I don't intend this to go on until 4.30 am as did the first (but brilliant London Lights ride, as led by the estimable Pajamas).

**start time: **4.30 pm **(first stage) **Look Mum No Hands leading out into the East, for some views of the city and riverside.

second start: 7.15 **(second stage) **@ Look Mum No Hands. Later joiners can come with us from here to Tron Square, some more of the city and riverside.

third stage: from the Duke of Kendal W2 2AF. 9.00. Warm food stop at the end of this stage.(sit-down in the warm, £5 gets you beer and food).
This stage covers lots of the Commercial Christmas lights of Chelsea.

**fourth stage: **less Christmas lights, more architecture. and lit-up London.

    looking forward,
