I am not a holdsworth nut, but I think that this is a special bike mostly because it seems to be
intact from the time that it was built (1970's) save for upgraded pedals, seat and bars. Is it as good as I think it is and what is it worth?
Basic spec:
Reynolds 531 Holdsworth track frame (see the rear axel slot) with Campag rear end.
c-c seat tube is 59cm.
c-c top tube 58cm
floor to bottom bracket 28cm
floor to pedal 13cm
Vittoria Georgia22 tyres
Mavic MA2 rims
Mallard, France back hub, Normandy front hub
Shimano pd-r540 pedals
Rocket brand flip-flop rear sprocket (18 fixed/16free)
Campag seat post
Brookes swallow seat
SR Royal front crank (52 teeth)
Sedis chain
Universal front brake (mod 77)
Nitto bull handlebar
Cinelli Stem
Charge handle bar tape (needs replacing)
There is an old transfer on the stem that is partially legible reading 'Broadribbs Ltd, Market St,
Oxford's Bike Specialist.' This shop is still there, but has changed hands now.
