If the seat stay comes down in one piece then forks into two
if it starts with two -not Bstay
Mine's the normal one -

Boy's bike project mocking up stage. My son's ten soon, and this should keep him happy.
Small frame I got a while ago, trying to use parts that are in the drawer.
650B wheel rims to lower the frame a little, mudguards to disguise the gigantic clearances. -

fun read! as always, written communication makes it easy to completely fuck up relationships between people who would get on just fine in the pub...
anyway, here's a pic!
going to put some nice old battered but smoothly working 9 speed Shimano Dura Ace bits on this one to replace the crap and totally unusable for CX Campagnolo bits that are on it now :-)
That looks like a lot of fun!

And the cx Nago is awesome.

Pearson is nice, well proportioned
Dream CX rides well and is fun but as yet not as good as my Empella, working on it...

I reckon a 12-21t* 8 speed cassette would be fine on a TT set-up, any advice? paired with a 52/42 chainset.
(I got 8 speed downtube shifter, and the 8 speed cassette are a lots cheaper).

What size chainring?
your edit makes me look like an idiot, and you've changed from 13 23 to 12 21 which seems more TT-centric, so you've probably found an answer for your question elsewhere. -
• #53787
I reckon you're right, 15mph at 42/21 (100rpm) sound about right, can't wait to build the TT rigs up.

had a really busy morning at work so thought i'd treat myself at lunch and tinker with the bike... took a spin to the lbs to pump my tyres up and check it out
rear hub is fitted properly i think but i could do with cutting down the axle as the clearances are really tight, the news sram cranks weirdly have a 5mm gap between the cup and the crank on the drive side but sram tell me this is a new feature of the 2012 cranks!? weird.
photo 1.JPG by monomaniac(tom), on Flickras for the ride it seems good! really odd feeling with the lag and the rear wheel is sooo heavy BUT i weighed it while in the shop and it came in at 20lb 2ounces without tape - not bad!
hope the weather holds out for a few hours tomorrow so i can take her for a proper spin -

I've been thinking of a possible hub gear conversion too, but have yet to try anything but an ancient sturmey archer about 15yrs ago. Although I'd want to run it with disc brakes. -
• #53793
it's a sturmey archer S3x 3 speed fixed, doesn't come in a disc version!

Racing the Danish flatlands this warm winter - final build and setup. (Ex Irish national team frame bought used from Dolan ebay shop).

saddle doesn't exactly look safe.

I mean seatpost ;)

I share the concern - how rigid is carbon...
-
• #53799
But that Dolan could be nice, turn the stem around and lower the seatpost. Frame is probably too small for you?

ooo now that you say it....
