Not a great fan of this thread but....
Leading a snake of six Year 5 Children east along Wilton Way in Hackney this morning. Cars parked on both side make it pretty narrow. I see a woman cycling towards us, she has a dog on a lean beside her - you can probably guess what breed - and she is on completely the wrong side of the road. I keep going, expecting her to stop, but she keeps coming. I am looking straight at her and realise she is not going to stop so I bring the snake to a halt. She stops in front of me and starts saying, "Fuck, you didn't need to do that, you could fucking see I was there". I don't know what to say except "You're on the wrong side of the road". She repeats what she has just said, as do I, still thinking she is about to realise that she is in the wrong and move over. "I've got a dog" she says, by way of explanation. "I've got six nine year old kids behind me" I reply. It makes no difference. She genuinely cannot understand why we did not get out of her way. So I move over and start the snake off again and even then she cannot wait and starts going with the children still along side her and my co-instructor at the back looking as baffled and depressed as I felt.
