Update ^^^ Rode into town with a hoodie and pacaway Altura waterproof on. When I got to Condor I was pissing sweat. Gave it a minute to regain some dignity and tried a Rapha soft-shell (liked but not versatile enough for what I need). Then a Milwaukee and finally the Wax Jacket. In the end I took a deep breath and pulled the trigger on the Wax. I didn't feel any cooler temp wise in the Milwaukee and love the fact that the Wax doesn't look all 'high performance'. I also need something to wear off the bike too. I rarely change at work or when I get anywhere.
Rode around town, had a meeting (didn't take shiny new coat off), rode back to work in mile end at a reasonable lick. I have to say I'm impressed. Granted it's brass monkeys out there and I didn't have my hoody on underneath but it kept me dry and I arrived with less of a glow than if I'd worn the hoody and rainproof top. Super comfy too. Hell of a price so I'll have to sell some bits to justify it and if i was on the bike all day id go lighter, but I reckon it's a good investment.
