The games were fun to watch and fairly easy to ref. Thirdteen were consistently attacking hard with Cosmic taking a defensive strategy that paid dividends when attacking (a sometimes over committed Thirdteen) on the break. Todd's goal in the second game defied Snoop's "it's over" statement and was awesomeness in a can (as was B's double-wheel-defeating-goal in the same game).

Thirdteen were finding more space in these games and were hooking up really well. Tornadoes employed a defensive strategy at times that again paid dividends on the breaks. Thirdteen deserved the win (despite the girls playing awesomely) and everyone came off court smiling, nice one Cam/Helen for stepping up to ref.

Ok so dino's and yomoyo have been having scheduling problems it may be that the best day for the six of us is the 18th.

Well, I disagree that by means before, and unless you are releasing that at midnight, it should really include the 17th, otherwise it's not a month. But all of that is irrelevant as it's your league, so your rules.

So this is the situation:

We found out a week before Chukker went away at the start of the month that he would be away until the 16th.

We then arranged for the evening of the 16th, but then I remembered I've arranged for a dinner party at mine that night, and it's not good for Chukker either, so we've now changed to the 17th (just not confirmed that yet, hence the 16th in the calendar).

We can't get a second sub, as Dean is still out, so if I've got to play, I'm going to have to cancel my dinner party, which would put a lot of people out, and I'm not sure Chukker can make it anyway.

I'm happy to play earlier, but then Chukker is missing out (and to be fair, he agreed to delay it until after his trip in good faith that we would be able to play it).

So if it doesn't happen, who forfeits?

Debbies and pickled onion are also in the process of finalising a game for the 17th, since we assumed that 'by 17th' would mean upto and including, rather than EOD on the 16th. Is it definite that the 16th is the last day we can play round 3/4 fixtures by then?

i may as well add that HGS had planned on playing a game on the 17th (although not definitive)

or we play on the 17th and at the next fixture release, the dates which the games can be played on are clearly laid out so that mixups are avoided in the future.
