Hello, the Birmingham Bike Foundry suggested I ask on here before selling on ebay...

I have a Retro Raleigh Record Sprint,
Fully refurbished condition.
New parts include, headset, wheel bearings, ultegra octi link, break pads, cables, break levers, tyres, chain and sprocket - 13-28 back 39-53 front.
Frame is in near mint condition, size 54.5, hubs are compaganolo.
San marco seat, Shimano seat post.
Cost over £200 in parts.

Galvanic Corrosion or Electrolisis, if its an alloy seat post..hazarded a guess.. Cold Welding is layman's terms, wont go in to the in and outs or discuss the true cold welding as its a boring subject...

I saved a frame from the grave with a seized stem using ammonia (dubmasters old carlton),other options are heat or a good twist of the frame in a vice. Think I would chose ammonia and a new paint job rather than the chance of fecking the frame..
