Ah that's nice. Is what I wanted to do. How did you prep it? Getting my newly powdercoated frame back in a few days - do I need to do something before I get happy with a pot of Humbrol paint and paintbrush.
Going to do the lugs with one of these someone recommended, looks easier to handle.
If you haven't done it already - for the coloured headtube I gave it a key with a scotchbrite pad (200g sandpaper would be fine) and a wipe with cellulose thinners, then a thin coat of plastic primer, then a few topcoats, then wetsand up to 2000g, applied the headbadge with araldite, and then polished.
For just doing the lug-lining, a quick wipe with thinners/white spirit will do, just in case someone has put an oily hand on it. It won't need any sanding or anything. Keep a rag and some white spirit nearby in case you mess up.
Incidentally did you get your bike done in a coral/salmon pink sort of colour? I'd really like something like that for my touring bike but it's a tough decision...
edit - I see you didn't.
A metallic pinky champagne sorta colour, now that'd be nice...
