you're not really supposed to cross post these sort of things. (not meaning to be a bitch or anything)
-
• #3
cross post?
-
• #4
it is on bike radar too
-
• #5
oh I see - I'd forgotten that rule on here - sorry all - will try to remove now.....
-
• #6
can't see how to delete - mods - happy for you to delete this as I can see it breaks the rules!
-

I thought there'd be a queue for this!
Is it the recession or is the price just out? Happy to negotiate a bit as I really need it gone so I can get some pennies in for the next one! -
• #8
I saw a new 2010 titanium brompton in evans for £700. People were queuing for that. I think 1000 is too much for second hand
-
• #9
Blimey jb000, I've never seen one for that price - that is a bargain!
If they are going for that kind of money, I'm going to have to hold on to mine!
I haven't seen one go for less than about £950 on the bay and that's in pretty ropey condition - mine is in pretty much mint condition....
-
• #10
How spinny is the gearing on this with the change to the 45t front?
-
• #11
if they're going for £950 on ebay then you might just want to risk it? It's only 50 squid cheaper than you're asking for on here...
Have to say though the market seems a bit slow at the minute. I've been trying to sell a few bikes on a couple of forums which I thought would fly out and none of them have generated any interest at all :(

Fuck, went off half-cocked :(
I was going to add - I also spoke to my LBS who run a second hand bike section and they're battening down the hatches until spring. This is usually a fairly slow time of year for them but this year is terrible apparently.

Soul - it's not bad - I think the standard gearing on all Bromptons is a bit high given that they are meant for commuting and the last thing you want is to arrive in work as sweaty as....
I think that top gear on it is about 66" with this set up - much better than the 78" or so they come with. I set it up this way because the journey I was taking into work at the time involved a steepish climb out of Lime St station in Liverpool and I wanted to avoid the dreaded sweat problem!
Ozzeh - I know - I'm trying to sell most of my "fleet" at the minute as something else has caught my eye (bloody internet...) - no joy whatsoever!

I think we are the wrong sort of crowd for a 1g Brompton here ! Nice bike though
-
• #15
Is this a two speed?
-
• #16
Also: do you have the original pedals?
-
• #17
Ah that hill coming out of Lime Street... Used to do that on 85gi and be sweaty as fuck within seconds.
-
• #18
Skully - yes it's 2 speed & no, don't have the original pedals - they were terrible!
-
• #19
I haz an old set knocking around Ben ;0)
-
• #20
I'm in London twice next week so could bring it down with me if anyone's interested....?
-
• #21
might have to be the 'bay....
....happy to consider (sensible) offers....
-
• #22
Go on, treat yourself for Christmas!
-
• #23
Now listed on ebay so happy for mods to remove
-
• #24
You might have been better putting it in as an auction rather than just BIN. Good luck though!

sold on ebay for £1050!
t's an S2LX Titanium finished in Turkish Blue (special order colour) with some top upgrades from standard, much better than standard spec:
It includes the Ti seatpost and Ti mudguard stays, as well as integrated rear lamp.
It is in superb condition, hardly used.

Only VERY minor niggle is the front wheel nuts are bit rusty (I upgraded the rears to Halo anodised ones but the fronts are a funny size on a Brompton and I haven't found any replacements) - other than that it is in superb condition.
£1,000
