This was my first attempt at reffing in absolutely ages, so after a barend and mallet head check, I let them get on with it. Felt a bit more like a timer than a referee, there really is a lot to look out for!

Ali came out all swings blazing to score three goals in under a minute of play. TPO worked hard on court, fending off plenty of shots and screening hard when they got a chance, but could not find a way to the opposition goal. They got caught out on the turnaround a few times, needing to retreat faster and sooner IMO. I finally figured out how Jono's whistle worked.

By this time I had a gang of halflings trying to get on court, so I cut a deal and tried to reff the game. I think I missed an early goal due to their incessant blatherings. TPO still working hard, and some more notable goalkeeping... The experienced WS took it in their stride and stuck to the script.
