  • So as I tested tonight the lightset I bought from Jejames, I thought I could share my first impressions.

The rear light does the job, clipped on the bag it is enough bright and act as expected at the moment. We will see about how long it will last.
The front light is esthetically very simple, not very beautiful to be honest, but it doesn't really matter to me. It takes 4 AAA batteries, and the system how the batteries are installed inside seems to be a bit cheap. Also the mount bracket is not very practical and it was a bit tricky to put it on my oversized bar. I wish they used the same system than Cateye for instance. It is a bit heavier than my Cateye HL-EL135 but definitely more powerful, I would say twice more. There is two mode, one flickering, to traumatise people that want to stare at it (seriously it does not seem to be a good idea) the beam is quite straight so you have not much visibility on the sides, and then I do think you might need a secondary front light 'to be seen'. Although my ride through Hyde Park on the commute was really pleasant and the beam was really helpful to see where I was going. Although I wouldnt advice off road, I think that at that price, it is a great front light for commuting in the city, as long as you have another one to be seen from the side ?Hopefully it will last looooong :)
