It's not abandoned is it? I've seen loads of security guards. Before it was used for polo it was being used by skaters and the fixie trick kids wasn't it?
Out west we did play in a car park in hammersmith that was mostly fine, except we got asked to leave a couple of times (maybe because of my singing) and then no-one could be bothered to ride to it incase we got turfed out again.

He said semi abandoned. ^
It's a working carpark but just not used that much. And it's pretty big so you rarely get any cars on the 6th floor.
Bike stuff has been happening there for many years and we get the police and security come up. There's only ever a problem if there are lots of cans of beer or anything else around.I suspect if you ask the security guard if you can play he'll say no. Why not keep playing and be uber nice to him when he comes round. You've got nothing to loose if you keep going, be polite and maybe ask if there's anyone you can speak to to get permission? If you keep at it, he might get bored of asking you to leave (10+ years in the industry ;) )
Failing that, we use Google maps to scan the area to see if there are any playgrounds.
Good luck.

Cheers guys thought it myt be something like that.
Unfortunately after a long and very "serious/adult" chat with the council office and local councillor transpires some old fart who has nothing better to do complained about us. and will now keep gettin turfed out as there is a bi-law on car parks being used for sports/games.
We've scoured google earth for hours!! With no luck unfortunatly nothing down this way of much use!
Hopefully found a court at a youth center but waiting to hear from them fingers crossed. Be fitting the cross tyres and fitting off the pikies if not lolGood luck with this Canterbury is one of my favorite towns in the UK. Would love to come up there and play some polo.
play on Tuesday night if your ever down this way more than welcome.

all there if you fancy a look
Hey guys, need some advice and help down in Canterbury.
We had found a suitable court out doors, but the council in there wisdom built a pump track on the slope above it. With recent weather it now resembles a mud pit. that coupled with local pikies there is a winter no go.
We then moved to the down stairs of a multi storey and have had no issue for the last 6 weeks or so playing until last night when a security guy turned up and turfed us out.
I know guys up in london play in car parks. Is this above bored and organised with car park owner/council or do you guys just turn up and hope security dont???
