Road bike recommendations

I'd say (even with an old skool 52t chainring) having an 11t is crucial for 'winning' the Tuesday night sprint-for-the-signpost.

It's horrible spinning out.

I have a descent which often features at the end of rides if I head out east.
It's an A road, a good surface and between 3 and 9° for 5 miles. Great fun.
