On the subject of "not my thing, but":
Bishop Bikes 650B Rando in the making...
I like Randonners, but Bishop often seem too fussy for my current tastes. However, the attention to detail and craftsmanship is outstanding. Not sure it's worth it, but it seems you do get what you pay for.
