Crosscheck turn out to be too big for me to use with drop handlebar, so end up going for Albatross bar instead.
Quite like it actually, done some centuries on it already;

That ought to be a comfy ride :-)

I think I'm going to start saving for a crosscheck.

was going to get full wooden mudguard, but TFG didn't have it, so went for that one.
least it keep my behind dry.

It's a clankworks... and we have the wooden ones back in the shop now Ed :) They were just at the warehouse

I'll get the full one when I can afford it, liking how disparage the Crosscheck look with the wooden mudguard.
BTW Andrew, couldn't make it down today, sorry, but will bring it on Weds and then picked up by Friday.

.What (TF) do you mean?
-

Just to return to mudguards and Steamrollers. MK Fenders make bespoke wooden mudguards that are fitted to the axle of your wheels needing no eyelets. A supreme choice for eyelet-free Steamroller owners.

wow, that's a lovely shape, there's an UK one that look even nicer now but not as functional as those mudguard that actually cover the tyres.

Is that a flag on a stick on your crosscheck ed? Hope so!
-
• #913
It was, was an MCC/LCC protest flag but it's only intelligible to those who's in the know (like RED or DAS), so got prompty removed until I find a better flag to stick on it.
maybe 'SPIN TO WIN" or "SMILE YOU IDIOT", something along that line.

I so knew these would float your boat, Ed.
The UK ones are flat, whereas US ones have a beautiful curve.

Nice. Flags on sticks are a huge slice of win pie.

Hey guys,
So I got knocked off my KHS a few days ago. Among other things the forks got bent up. Potential replacements are the Surly Steamrollers, but Cycle Surgery say it'll take three weeks to order them (longer for the KHS) and Wiggle have sold out with no restock date. I don't suppose anyone has some Black 1" Threadless Surly Steamroller Hack Bike Forks they'd care to sell me or advice on where I can find some in London?

Brixton Cycles? Moose Cycles? any Surly dealership?

I can get them for you. Should take around a week from point of deposit. Call by the shop if you'd like to go ahead... (tokyo fixed)

Thanks jammy. I tried Brixton Bikes and a few other Surly stockists as per edscoble's suggestion and was told there's only one Surly distributor in the UK and they're not expecting their next re-supply until the 16th of December- i.e. it doesn't really matter who I order through. Does that sound right?

Velo Orange one have the greatest performance for a long reach brakes, but at a cost and AFAIK only come in brakeset;
http://janheine.wordpress.com/2011/10/23/product-test-velo-orange-grand-cru-brakes/
What wrong with Alex's current one? did it not have enough room for a 32c tyres? the cheapest one I know is the Shimano R450 with a change of pads can be reasonably powerful (currently have them on the roadie with 32c tyres).
I am liking the avatar and smuzzy's creamroller - good work
