On a serious note the Langster Steel aint a half bad place to start for a first fixed gear, so its not all doom and gloom

i'm sure you will love your Langster Steel, it's a very good bike and personally (not that this counts for anything) i like the look of it too. it isn't a bad thing if some people here violently disrespect your bike; at least some people hate on every single bike posted here, including ones that other people love. it's not because people here are dicks, they're just obsessed with bikes (a good thing!), so likely to have strong opinions on them.
besides, speaking as somebody who loves his ugly hybrid, there can be an enormous amount of perverse pleasure to be had from having and loving a bike that other bike-nerds disrespect.
