Evenin' all (that dates me doesnt it Gulp!) anyway...
Seat tube on my Scapin has snapped just above the bottom bracket, frame material is columbus zeta. Have spoken to a frame builder who is happy to do the job, cutting off the old one, grinding-i presume he means reaming-out the hole and braising in a new tube. Ringing round to try to get a quote from another builder he said, without looking at it, frame would be fatigued and to scrap it. I ride this thing or did 150 miles per week so it does get used quite hard. Anybody got any experience of this? Any advice greatly experienced as dont really want to waste my money if its best to scrap-that thought makes me gulp again......... Ta people.
