For all those that have finally got the message from the 'Get some fking lights' thread this goes out to you.
Those new lights run on batteries. Batteries are not perpetual motion and they do sooner or later run out. When you turn your lights on check that they actually do come on and that they are indeed bright enough to be seen more than 5 paces away! Furthermore, when you get to your destination and before you turn your lights off, check that they are still on and working. If they don't meet these exacting standards, get some fking new batteries!
Seriously this is particularly important on these cold, damp and misty mornings.** Car windscreens do not clear easily in these conditions** and you could be damn near invisible until it's too late. I don't want you on my bonnet conscience.
