Hmmm, I generally preferred using specialized 1" with armadillo armor (I think thats what it was, it was many moons ago now) for faster rolling resistance, however, did change the front to 1.35 semi slick for better grip after having front end slide out on manhole covers and drainage grates a few times in the wet. Still a damned fast bike.
Currently running 2.2 and 2.35.
