yeah that would have been me. how did you do then? complete every day? it was superb as always,
that last day on the hill, on the bog myrtle and minimal contours with the odd boulder- thats my idea of dying and going to heaven running up there.
We only went for the last 3 days.. My girlfriend (doing it since she was a nipper) and her mum (apparently represented Scotland when she was younger) took me along with them and I was coerced into taking part on the final two days.
I did an orange course for my first ever go on the 5th day (spent most of the time over-taking and being overtaken by a 12 year old girl!) - 23rd out of 86.
On the final day I did a Long Orange and came 2nd out of 16 by 30 odd seconds. I must agree, it was absolutely stunning being up on that hill, gorgeous views of the river.
I was going to shout 'do a skid' when I saw the black cap with the stripe but I hadn't clearly seen the lettering on the side so wasn't 100% sure & didn't want to risk it.
We might be doing what I believe is called the JK in Wales next Easter?
