Just picked up a free Brompton.
Lots of thing to be done to it though, front and rear brakes, seatpost, chain tensioner, seatclamp and possibly suspension block.
Hattly Beard, that sadly is quite normal for those who rode on the Brompton, much like how we see the I Become Death minicab; a menace.
