perfect Oliver, we should start on friday evening suggest LMNH.. then move onto this for sunday
http://www.younghackney.org/whatson/general/1263.php
we'll have three weekends of fun and perhaps some mid week stuff too. each of the forum drinks should organise something too, but some great suggestions already and that logo will keep the tourists happy.. the forum events logo'd up around town, we'll offer them proper london hospitality.. not sure i'll get us and competitors bike lane priority though.we'll need two mascots of course
and a face for the forum games, hillbilly would fit the bill being a proper champion and all -

and a face for the forum games, hillbilly would fit the bill being a proper champion and allIt definitely sounds like something that would be interesting to include! I'll start a thread for the festival, and let's see if the Forum Olympics idea has legs. :)

not wanting to dwell on not getting any tickets for any Olympic events. I reckon we have enough members, friends, contact with cycle clubs and bike businesses with skillz to create our very own 28 day legacy in London this summer.
some of us are probably already involved in club stuff, it might need a few event leaders, an army of volunteers / marshalls, sponsorship from the bike stores, suppliers and clothing companies to this pull off..but here is a starter for 10 list of events / suggestions discussed in the cambridge ride today among the forums finest.
opening ceremony party - Sunday 01 July 2012

swains lane hill climb time trial
bike polo competition
pedal-bar race thro town

boris bike 1 lap time trial on open roads of regent park outer circle

of course these will need LFGSS logo's, merchandise, drugs team :) plenty of beers and publicity across the city, hell we have enough venues to call home in London's famous London. let's show the 7 billion people on the planet how great we really are. we have +200 days to put a programme together.. and something to tell our grand children when we are really old
