Is this really a 650C hplusson rim?

  • Are you measuring the full diameter of the rim, or just the bead set diameter? It is the B.S.D. that should be 571mm. (See this http://sheldonbrown.com/tire-sizing.html)

    (I can't see your photo b.t.w.)

  • I am measuring the full rim diameter at 582. I get that the BSD has to be smaller than the rim so the tyre can grip onto the rim but a 11mm difference is quite a large amount? If I didn't damage the inner tube when fitting and pumped it up I would never have been able to repair the tube if I got a puncture on the road.

  • your are edscoble, i claim my £5

  • tag LOL

your edit is too late, we saw your post

  • I required some genuine honest help but realised that if plebs are going to somehow hack into my account and change the tags to what they are- Then it's a waste of time asking for help on this forum.

  • anyone can add a tag, no one hacked your account

    you are really paranoid

Anyone can add tags, no one has hacked your account. Come out from under the bed, take off the tinfoil and you will more than likely get all the help you need.

You seem to be getting some genuine honest help so what's the problem?

Sometimes, due to manufacturing tolerances you may end up with a rim that is on the large side and a tyre that is on the small side. Perhaps this is an example?
