Queuing for ages to cross the border into Poland, stopping in the first lay by for a pee in the bushes and no sooner having started than a person strolls up asking to change money.
Tripping over the guy who's nameday it was and who was blotto and asleep on the office floor.
Going to a factory in the middle of nowhere and drinking black tea and vodka first thing in the morning. A bag of sugar was their 'reward'.
