when i was on bob a job week i went to stelmo's* where my dad was a welder and on a trip to the drawing office i gawped at a technical drawing of concorde, i was fascinated by it.
*steel fabrication factory that closed in the 80's and is now a 'technology park'
i also had a big battery powered model of concorde that had flashing lights and powered wheels that replicated the journey from hangar to runway at heathrow.
