DMs will slay your feet.
great once broken in, but lethal for the first 100miles or so -

Sorry if I missed something, but you should go to a shoe shop and try on some shoes.
-
• #8
And maybe try a baby walker, just until you have developed you walking muscles.
DM's are shit.

Just began to walk a little after many years which is not good for my SPDs and is slippy and noisy. In fact I haven't owned any cleatless shoes that you can walk in for a decade...
are you trying to say that you have literally not walked or worn a pair of non-cycling shoes in a decade? bloody hell that's dedication.
a good place to start might be if you try going to a shoe shop and asking for 'trainers'

David, why not the Chrome clipless shoes?
if clipless giving you problem - change the pedal to a different manufacturer, that often helped (speedplay frog come to mind).

Vans. So comfortable.
Also look to get hi-tops or boots, better support.

Sports Direct and Field and Trek do lots of really cheap but decent enough walking shoes. I got some boots for £25 and some summer ones for about the same.
I'd advise trying them on rather than internet shopping so you can try a few on.
Merrells are the king of the sensible shoe. -

Get some Vans Warners (current polo trend).
Then you can still go back if you don't like it ;)

Any hints or tips when looking for cleatless shoes for walking? Lat time a bought such shoes i was measured up with caliper like things for width and length. Do they still do that? Any advice appreciated...
(Not posted in the leather shoes thread because I'd rather not wear leather)
