Come on man, it's not that bad.
I only wanted to say that basically everything can break. The chance that it actually happens is rather small.
Do you think that the numberous broken/cracked Campag Record and FC-7400 cranks ever stopped one using these models ?
If you want to minimize the risk, ditch everything after max. 2 years and buy new, non-weightweeny stuff. And then you can still be hit by a car, truck or bus.
