...nice quick clean games all round, DDD played well but just weren't finishing and had some bad luck, wooden skulls controlled the games and had a lot of shots.

Really enjoyed these games, regardless of the losing. Great to get helpful feedback from people who watched too, really appreiate it. ♥ing the league so far.

score from skulls v dinos third game?

I think Chukker wrote the scorers for the third in Turd's notebook.

I'm gonna update the spreadsheet to add some extra columns (w/d/l) as kev suggested, just wondering what the correct column priority should be for a leaderboard?

I'm thinking it should be:

points > games played > goal difference and nothing else matters

but perhaps it should be

points > games played > goals scored > goals conceded > goal difference

anyone know for sure?

games played > goals scored > goals conceded > goal difference > points

Or, if including W/D/L:
Played/Won/Drawn/Lost/For/Against/GD/Points

With regards to rankings, I agree on points then GD. There's then a bit of a debate to be had on the next most important factor(s). Options include games won, goals scored, head-to-head records etc.

yep, I was just giving my opinion though. After GD, games won would surely be a fairer indicator of a teams ranking than goals scored, though a head to head record is a good option too

Yes, there is the classic head to head vs goal difference debate.

I'm probably in the head to head camp, but both have valid arguments for them.

Hey, we're about to start our own mini-league in Birmingham: http://www.lfgss.com/thread75057.html (if you're interested). Is there any software or web thing that you guys use to manage results/goal difference so everyone can see it etc? Or is Excel/Google docs the only choice?

I thought the first game of NT v SS was 3-2. But maybe that was in my dream.
