  • OK old tag, replica of the Golden Hinde, the boat Franny Drake circumnavigated the world in back in ye olden times.

New tag: Well there was nothing there to give any indication was it was and I've not been able to find anything on google, all I can think of at the moment for a clue is Ricky Gervais but will have a think for a better one.

    edit: y u no embed pics?...harumph.
better clue, the borough in which this is located has it listed in the public art section on their website but has no details of the artist or anything about it, also the borough and road on which it is located shares its name with an oil field operated by Shell.

  • Will! Are you riding fixed with one brake/no foot retention?

No, but I often have. Don't see any problem with it is long as you don't try and go crazy fast, especially downhill. My bike is not so colour coordinated either.
I am guessing, since it does not have an apostrophe in the name, that Infernos has been there a long time.

  • Fixed, no brake, foot retention - experts only
Fixed, 1 brake, no foot retention - ok
Fixed, 1 brake, foot retention - better
Fixed, 3 wheels, parent holding onto your reigns - best

  • Found the new one on google maps. I thought I was looking in the right area earlier using info in the background of the photo but latest clue confirms.
Sadly I'm about as far away as you can get and still be inside the north/south circular.

  • Oh sorry, didn't see that he was posting someone else's pictures.

Keisha! Are you riding fixed with one brake/no foot retention?! For shame!

yes, one break no retention. It is working fine though.
Not a crazy fast cyclist anyways and I hate carrying a spare change of shoes with me.

  • fair weather cyclists..

it is my fair weather bike surely... although no fair weather today.
my viscount framed all day bike needs some repairs. i hope i can make another tag with that one some day!

  • Now that we approach BTOB's first active winter, could people make a concerted effort to tag in daylight or take only good quality pictures that work well at night. i.e. if you conceive a tag by day, please be sure that a night time picture would also offer enough visual interest and distinctiveness.

Otherwise I can see this thread declining even more rapidly than the Easter Islanders.
/insert Rhowe's picture of Hampstead Pond here. grumble/.

The funny thing is I saw that night pic of Hampstead pond and new exactly where it was, one of the few locations that I've known without having to research.

Found it too. If you draw a straight line from my house which is just inside the M25 it would pass through Charing Cross and onwards to this one. i.e. miles away

I also note that every tag has been white van unfriendly since I threatened to join in but in my weekday transport.

Think Jess means having some straps (e.g. say like Holdfast style) on your pedals. It makes a difference when riding fixed, more control and stuff. Makes it a hell of a lot easier to trackstand too.

Then you should have gone and got it and vindicated my photography skills!

  • that part of town (new tag location) seems to be unpopular with "taggy cats". Should i go and get it?

  • Go and get it.

  • p.s. that's my last night-tag. I promise.

    I lied!

  • Nice photos! No idea where the new one is tho...

  • There's more to this tag than meets the eye*.

    *It's not a transformer though.

  • I feel a bit of a tool going back on my word ;)

  • Well done cyclotron, the master of the night shot, at least you got there I thought I'd killed the thread. I figured we were due a tag over in that part of town.

  • Nothing wrong with night shots so long as your camera and your skills are up to the job, and those are good pics.

Don't know the new one but there is something familiar about the paving.

  • Ha! know this one well, met the artist a few times. quality night shots c3k

  • New tag:

Probably the best photo taken on the thread so far. Nice one.

  • Wow, thanks! Kind words.

My fave shot is still this: http://www.lfgss.com/thread38155-49.html#post2181550 (The pudding lane one)

  • First one I know where it is straight off. Nice shot too. Night photography is best photography.

  • redeemed from your last effort!

  • Gorgeous new tag by cyclotron3k.

I was putting off riding out to Brent. I thought I had a day or two:
Lesson = One can not be too quick in this game.

    I am lazy.
