Stolen bikes

hi everyone, i feel like a bit of a fraud because i don't ride a single speed bike, but my good friend owen (who does) recommended your amazing website and forum to me. I just moved to london and before i even got to ride my bike for the first time here, my lovely early 1990s trek 8000, in such good condition and a beautiful metallic purple, was stolen outside my flat. I stupidly didn't consider anything sensible about bike security before i came here, so i don't even have a photo of my bike. But it looks very like this one - without the basket. Anyhoo, i thought it was worth a post here. Thanks :)
