Nice Touch v Sloppy Seconds
Thurs, 7:30pm, Downs.
Hope this is okay with everyone. It is the only time and place we can play, because i've got mates in town and two league games this week.
I guess we'll rent the lights from 7:30-9:30 and people can play throwins after the game.

Busy schedule on Sunday. Hope it doesnt rain!
Whoever is playing tomorrow might want to bring a brush with them.
Newington was swept this evening but there is a lot of leaf fall at the moment, wouldnt be surprised if it builds up again during the day.Anyone know a hardware or garden shop around Camberwell that sells two metre long pieces of bamboo? I am going to buy them for crossbars for the cones on Sunday.

just use string kev. easy peasy.

• #287
The 8am game was put at that time because there was no specified time on this thread.
If you want stuff put into the calender correctly or at all for that matter then pm or email me.
MORE IMPORTANTLY: PLEASE PM OR EMAIL ME RESULTS.
Kev - the reason there are no cross bars is so that everyone playing in the league plays under the same conditions. The conversation about goals has been done already and fairly comprehensively at that... ask Chukker. In an ideal world we would have proper goals for every fixture. I am keen to not have crossbars so that there is uniformity throughout.
If there is an overwhelming voice that says we must have them then that person/ group can come to every game to set it up. We have done without them and the league has already started.

Seems like all the games are on Sunday now, Nice Touch against Thumbs Up! is 11am on Saturday at Newington, is anyone also playing then? (we can't do Sunday).
We'll need some refs, so it would be great if someone were to come down, happy to play throwins or whatever.

COSMIC kick off their league 4 campaign against Tornadoes Tuesday 8th (tomorrow) at Newington from 7pmish.
Anyone who fancies, reffing, watching or playing some throw-ins after, please come down. I think SB will be present too.
I'll come down (unless it's raining). I'll have to leave by 8 though.

Jono -- any word on the lights? Thanks mate.

Spring Break, when are you available for Passed It? I can't do this weekend, or Tues or Weds this week.
Thursday? I'm pretty free this week (I think Adam and Ryan are available too), we're playing Vidal's team on Wednesday.
Scratch that, Spikes can't make Thursday. Friday possible? Mon or Tues?

Thanks for reffing pk. Really enjoyed tonight's games. Tornados were awesome and definitely deserved goals. Good to be back in the Cosmic line up!

I just spoke with Paula about the lights at Downs. She said they are still waiting to figure out the pricing, but that her manager is in a meeting now and she might know when he gets out. So i'll call her back at 1pm and see.
The court is booked tonight from 7-9, but she said we could get it at 9pm -- if they can figure out the pricing. It is currently open for tomorrow.
Lights still off at Mitch?
Looks like we might have to play Spring Break v Sloppy at Newt tonight?
Are the lights up at London Fields yet?
-
• #297
Nice one Chukker, I believe Bruce is in that meeting (what I was waiting on).
The court is booked? That would require someone to be paying £50 an hour?
No lights at Mitch as far as I know.
No lights at London Fields a few days ago, but they should be installed soon.
I'll ring again later too, let's keep hassling for Downs.
Scratch that, Spikes can't make Thursday. Friday possible? Mon or Tues?
It'll have to be Tuesday I think? Unless Ryan wants to bail on his Friday plans. When's our deadline?

A week today.

Thanks for reffing last night PK John H and co. And thanks spectators for coming along.
As for the lights at Downs, the 'we need to figure out the price schedule' argument is the same thing they said 2 weeks ago when I tried. Bureaucracy at it's finest and most obstructionist.

Chucker, I am happy for you guys to play at newt (in fact it will be nice to get to watch some good polo!) but might be worth asking on the south thread just to cover your bases.
Also we seem to have had both courts quite a lot recently (at least after the kids go for dinner)
Yomoyo = Long Name
Pickled Onion are Fiona, Kit and Barry
