  • A Quick, but heart-felt Thank-You from me before I dodge customers and return to the Stock cupboard to nurse my fragile head.

I hugely enjoyed last night and hope that you got something good in the way of food and company from it. i don't think I need to query if anyone went short of booze!
We ended up filling the place exactly, but next time (my 45th and a half!) I'll make sure we have the whole place for the duration.

food was excellent, and it was highly amusing to see itsbruce, slip further into monosyllabic grunts and silence as his stomach rumbled on and on..

[QUOTE=itsbruce;2496026]Good night, that was. Mind you, it was harsh that the vegetarian options didn't turn up till halfway through the night; Corny and his predator peloton were circling.

HaHa, Woops! well I did't please all the people all the time, but point taken: one veggie/vegan and one meat dish early on, in advance of the food train that was always planned to arrive en masse.

  • No worries, John, everybody got something to eat. I thought the way you organised the menu and bill was inspired.

  • Someone was pleased to meet me.

I am non-plussed, but it was a great night.

  • Ace, Tibbs!

Clearly at that point I was kindly explaining to Bruce that the vegetarian dish was imminent and though he may be catatonic through calorie deficit he had no reason to complain, it wasn't as if any of the rest of us had anything ahead of him.

  • You were actually in the middle of an epic freestyle battle. Bruce had you on the ropes with his colossal rhymes at that point.

  • There are no photos of me!
This is wonderful and yet simultaneously somewhat disappointing...

  • Last time I took a photo of you you wouldn't stop moaning. I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't.

  • You took a photo of me with bed head and in a towel at 8am on a Sunday.
    What exactly did you expect?

And no - the muffin didn't make up for it.

  • :)

  • So worth it though...so so worth it.

  • Ace, Tibbs!

You can see, in the mirror, just how convinced I was. To be fair, I find it difficult to concentrate on even the most reasonable arguments when I'm hungry.

  • Very cosy, if not a tad moist...

  • Oh yeah... thanks John, and all, had a lovely night.
