For Sale: Ti Raleigh Team replica Campagnolo Record

  • For sale my 1980 (edit - not so sure about this - the number I think is WN 2001830) Ti Raleigh team Replica with Campagnolo Nuovo Record (and perforated Super Record brake levers). The headset is non-Campagnolo. Frame Reynolds 531 with Campagnolo dropouts. Mavic G40 clinchers, Cinelli bar and stem, Benotto bar tape. ST - 59cm c-t, TT - 57cm c-c.

The paintwork is all original as far as I know and in lovely condition with a few chips and no rust. The bike was originally fitted with Simplex shifters which I changed to Campag, but will sell the Simplex with the bike - I've since been told that they would have been used in preference at that time.

Bike as in the photos with the exception of the saddle which is an IscaSelle Tornado and pedals (none fitted).

Price - SOLD pick up SW London (or I could deliver this week in Waterloo area). I will renew my contribution to the forum from sale proceeds.

  • cracking bike mate, seems very cheap too...

  • One day I'm gonna get one of these....alas not today though as it's too small for me. Lovely bike mate. Good luck with the sale.

  • Impeccable and cheap at twice the price!

    nice ;)

  • Lovely...Ilkeston?

  • curse my average height. Can recommend seller, have bought from.

  • It's a W serial, so Worksop. I'd be asking a lot more for an Ilkeston example.

It is a lovely bike, and I'm pleased with the VFM comments, but these are fairly common, albeit not in this condition - asking more would be overcharging IMHO.

  • Beautiful ride.

  • Lovely condition, very complete looking bike.

  • Sooooooooo nice... wish I had the money/space/longer legs.

  • Dibs PM sent!

  • Hi Psychlist
Just wondering how much the bike was sold for?? Am happy for you to Pm me with the details.
    Cheers, Roger

  • Theres a 753 version too thinner and higher tensile strength than 531

  • 531 came in two falvours 531c and 531SL....the latter almost as light but over £100 cheaper....in the late 1970s....531SL was £199....and 753 was about £350ish....531SL was virtually as light as 753R.

  • Weren't the 753s all made at Ilkeston rather then Worksop?

  • Weren't the 753s all made at Ilkeston rather then Worksop?

At the beginning yes but not sure towards the end....by then 753 was much more common place.

  • Per fire Hampton hill cricket club?
