Have you reported to police. Not sure but I think that being robbed at knife point receives a little more attention than bike theft from the police.

Dolan Pre Cursa Stolen at Knifepoint on Roman Road last night around 2am.
I stupidly put myself in a vunerable position (spds on, arguing with the missus on the phone and walking the bike) had a prick walk in my way, grab at the bike (was a bit out of it after a 17hrs at work, otherwise dlock would've been in hand quicker) mouth off something about don't be a big man and flashed a blade.
Eitherway, embarrassing story out the way.
Its a Black 52cm Pre Cursa with alpina crabon forks, H+ SL42s (brushed metal and front machined) laced to miche primato hubs (front is laced in an offset radial style), Phil Sproket, Black Risers with torn up glow oury grips, silver seatpost with specialized saddle.
I've had a post up to sell this. If anyone does come across it, please get intouch, any help even unsuccessful will result in some beers or whatever.
Cheers,
BenDon't kick yourself mate. At least you weren't totally hammered when it happened like when I had my bike knicked in similar circumstances!

Did anyone lose a silver hybrid type bike yesterday?
The bike didn't have any brand but it was a pretty beat up silver frame with 1 by 7 or 8 gearing, spd's and a very distinctive PRO stem and short risers? Saw it on a train when a lad got on it at E&C not wearing spd shoes and talking to people on two different phones, seemed very dodgy to me. -

After beginning to do the stupid thing and chasing him into an estate, seeing a bunch of the ufckers and turning around, did call the 5 oh.
Since posting they have been in touch, suppose in a way it is 'luckier' than it being pinched whilst locked up, as they are following it up.
Anyone out there who has had anything stolen around east recently, me and a few mates will be down brick lane the next couple of sundays, so if you want company or a helping hand, get in touch.
Cheers Whatok

Stolen from Camberwell green on 15/06/2011 Principia Evolution track, size 57cm, headtube size 1 1/8 and 1 1/4, really thick carbon forks and stearing tube was cut and had only one small spacer, had sort of shields on drop outs and bolts to keep chain intention, bottom bracket shell was round and had 2 or 3 halls in it, matt black, on downtube was in big letters PRINCIPIA. Had a bike only 5 days so literally brand new, black sram omnium cranks, golden izumi chain, shimano spd black pedals, alpina seat post, white san marco regal seadle with tiers on sides. Black miche front wheel, rear black deep V(B43 or H+ dont remember now) had two cogs on both sides 16T and 18T. Black short stem and look a like Delta Force Bullhorn but not over sized. I don't have any actual pictures. http://www.principiabikes.co.uk/sites/english/track.html
If you will see it please let me now where and then.

I double locked my frame in Smithfield last Thursday night (27.10.11), only to return after a really nice meal to find that some thoughtful soul had left the frame/wheels etc but helped themselves to a Thompson Seat Post and Brooks saddle. The seat post had a 'Charlie the Bikemonger' sticker and the saddle was a Racing Pro. The only upside is that I bought a Fizic saddle and seat post and inexplicably now go much faster...an expensive silver lining.

I think I've just seen my saddle in Camden Market. ....................... I swear it's my saddle. Can't do anything about it though. .................

You make it sound like there's a nice side to Brick lane.
-
• #7317
Thanks Gerald. Stamping your tensioned hide saddle is cheap and makes it undoubtably yours. Even just a postcode in the underside would do.
Also, use a piece of bike chain around the rails and your seat stay, easy.
-
• #7318
can someone point me to the thread that teaches how to make a bike chain lock for the saddle?
-
• #7319
piece of chain slipped inside a bit of inner tube. round the rails, round the seat stays, connect back together, done

Chain in an inner tube. Amazing!

This from my friend,Justa:
Ok...This is actually very very sad and I am trying to keep it together...my most beautiful and beloved bicycle KENEVANS has been stolen in Stratford yesterday.I finaly found out what it feels like when you come out of a building and your bike is not there anymore...its hurts...I registered it stolen with cops and a nice cabby took me home...Please keep ya eyes out for Ken..I can feel he misses me lots...and its probably very scared now...some horrible person is riding it..shit man..this sucks!!Proper shit!!!!
It's a very distinctive bike, there is only one in the country we think,it's an orange, pink and purple"KENEVANS"track bike with risers and a few House of Pistard stickers on it the wheels had spokey-dokeys.This is all the info I have at the moment,I'll get a picture up soon.
Thanks.
My friend,Justa, has been re-united with her bike.A newbie courier had it and was spotted a few times during the week.Another courier friend took it off him yesterday.

Brand new 2011 Tricross for £260?? You need to call Richard for details.
Now, the telephone number is used in another ad, where you should call Tom.
What's the betting the next ad is going to feature a seller called 'Harry'?

Check out the hacksaw in the photo! I wonder what that's been used for recently?
-
• #7324
I missed that! Don't want to pre-judge, but it does look, um, less than regular. I've emailed the details to the Cycle Task Force.

Dude, don't be embarrassed about being robbed at knife point. The shame lies with the scum that robbed you.
