Received an amazing parcel from Scoot today full of weird, wacky and wonderful cards, cartoons, photos, riddles etc etc. Thank you darling. So thoughtful and clever. Hope you don't mind me sharing the below Jess. x
Ah I rarely come on this thread so I've only just seen this, I'm so glad you liked it! I wanted to put more stuff in it that I'd made myself but I faffed for so long I thought it would be better if I just sent it.
Have you solved the riddles yet?

So happy. I'm absolutely amazed at how good it is. Obviously I was expecting an improvement over my old 531 quill stemmed Roberts, but even compared to my condor... well there's no comparison.
I was always a bit dubious about that silky carbon ride, but it's true :)

I love the strewn bubble wrap. Someone is a happy boy.

Needs black tape

Mod def to both posts.
It came with some grey LOOK Keo pedals, so I probably should get some cleats for those insted of the massive blue things I'm rocking at the mo. I'm struggling to get the seat level, and I'll probably need a slightly shorter (and blacker) stem.
Black tape's going on at the weekend, but the tyres (michelin pro3) will probably stay as they feel nice and after this plus a number of other bike purchases too many have left me a bit tight for the rest of the month. But this was definitely worth it :)

If you got it eventually so the wheelbuild was black with red hubs that would look smart. Maybe change in some black spacers with the new stem?
Really nice, I am jealous, I want me some crabon...

I like.
What are you using to fit your rear light?

Pair of old LOOK clickies (PP65???)
I never had those.
Got my first pair of clipless in 1990, after some poor experiences with Campag SGR.
These are a must-have. -

A bunch of saddles.
Left to right:- Selle Bassano Vuelta w. Reynolds 531 rails, leather cover. I used this kind of saddle for years. I love them! They used to come with Gazelle logos.
- ditto, cheaper version (fabric cover?), stapled
- Reydel GTI
- Selle Italia Turbo Special

Pair of old LOOK clickies (PP75???)
Late adopter, eh? My first Looks were PP56 in 1985/6, I think my brother might still be using them.

Late adopter, eh?
It's not that bad.
I was one of the first to use Adidas System 3 and Campag SGR.
PD-M737 from 1st delivery and PD-7410 and PD-7700 as prototypes.
But yes, this is my 1st pair of Looks, ever (although I used many PD-7401, 6401, 6402 and 1056, assembled in Nevers). -

Congrats looks fun.
I just had dispatch notices for a couple small items that I'm pretty excited about.
Custom chainring. 104bcd, 31 tooth. (black). I'm hoping it will fit my RaceFace cranks without issue.
Some Nokian Gazzaloddi innetubes. Been searching around for these. Should expand to a relatively lightweight 4.7"

^ I have the 29er version of those and they're great.
I actually like the bit of flex they have. It's never been a problem on the brakes and it seems to dampen the vibrations too.

I think I've just whimpered like a small child when opening the box.
Next up, some Mavic Cosmic Carbones and Record 11
Fcuk, anyone got some tissues to clean me self up, that is gorgeous.
What model is it, I dumbfounded as to which one especially with Carbon Rear Stays.
Is that anodised or sprayed?

I've been using my bros bike with the old superstar components version on.
SSMTB is a headset away from completion.

It's the Arte I picked up off here a while back. I wanted the best of both worlds, and the Arte has always appealed. Thankfully the original paint was horrible, so Argos did a fine job in getting it to what you see now.
Yes, they are expensive, but you are paying for quality. The metallic paint is brilliant and in the sunlight, you see slight sparkles of pearl.
danke, all fixed now. The paint was done by Argos and it's by far the best job i've ever had done. The quality of their prep and spray is out of this world.
