You know what they say - "if it looks to good to be true, it probably is too good to be true".
There have been lots of mentions on here and other places of stolen bikes sold on Gumtree. If you're interested, enquire as to what the frame number is, and agree to meet at their place, not some quiet road or alley-way. If it's nicked, they'll want to do the deal somewhere neutral.

That does not look like the kitchen of a bike thief.

could be a very good one?

The only crime would be to take the gears off it! Get it and leave it geared :-)

Yes, pay for it with your own money and then do with it what other people tell you to.

Of course Will, isn't that what this forum is for?
I don't think that's stolen btw.

I don't reckon it's stolen- Guy knows how to spell cotterless... Do reckon it's a godo deal. But definitely leave it geared and put some bar tape on that puppy

I agree that it looks legit, just a mind bending bargain! I'd leave it geared though - such a clean example is very rare. If you were canny you could buy it then ebay the thing on the international market - I'll bet you could triple your money! Then you could buy a fixed gear with the profits.
Either way, good luck with it!

Not all Bianchis are valuable, remember they are the Italian equivalent of Raleigh, so many of the bikes they built were cheap and cheerful and destined for supermarkets. 1-20 Calibrati tubing is just a bog standard steel tubing, nothing at all special.
£225 for that is overpriced.

I thought Olmo were the Italian equivalent of Raleigh?

Thanks for all the advice! Much appreciated!
After spending more time looking around the net, especially on this site i've come to the conclusion that if I wait it out i'll find a better deal. And in my search i've sort of fallen for some of the Bob Jackson frames.. Those things are class!
Andy P- Yeah i've heard this before. I should be able to get something a bit more special for this price.
General Lucifer- That was what I thinking. It's emaculate and for a 20y/old bike. I'm not taking it so if you want to grab it and triple your money- go ahead, i'd like to know if that works haha.

Nope, but it does look like one I recognise from ads posted on eBay. I reckon it's legit; no standard thief would set up an eBay shop.
I am in desperate need of a bike and originally planned to try and build my own single speed project from scratch.. But then I came across this beauty and called the seller straight away to make sure he knew I was interested and I'm in the stages of purchasing it this week. However, I far from being a bike expert and would like to ask to ask you guys for some last minute advice..

The bike seems like an absolute beauty in my eyes, I love the old Bianchi frames and it looks like its in immaculate condition but I don't know that much about bikes and would just like someone with knowledge on the subject to let me know if this actually a good buy or not! What do you guys think? Is it good quality, is the price reasonable?
Thanks
