I agree with this. It's making an active effort to acknowledge good behaviour instead of solely focusing on the shitty behaviour that encourages a more positive mindset generally. For the most part I'll behave on my bike in much the same way as I'd behave in a car - if I'm in a position to let somebody in or out I'll let them in or out; if somebody lets me in or out I'll thank them; if I've fucked up in some way by misjudging something I'll apologise. It's not a big deal and we're all trying to get somewhere - why make it miserable? I also find myself having fewer (read: barely any) unpleasant incidents. I don't know if I'm genuinely having fewer incidents or if I'm just better at letting them wash over me and be forgotten about, though.
I am still a grumpy bastard on foot, though.
