• Hi all,
Picked up a new steed a couple of days ago from an old chap near Windsor. Unfortunately, he couldn't remember too many details of the bike (he'd only had it 40 years...), as he'd repainted and changed updated parts over the years. He did say it was a Rees (or Reece / Reese), so I assume he meant Mal Rees. HOWEVER, Mal Rees (from what I can gather) used decals not metal head badges, where as this has 2 rivet holes in the head tube.
My hope/current train of thought is that it may in fact be a W.B Hurlow built Condor, as it has the curved brake bridge that Hurlow seemed to favour, and he was building bikes for both Mal Rees and Condor in the late 60's, early 70's. Also, Condor had a head badge with holes in a similar position.

Hard to make out, but the BB says CAR (may be CAP?) BRITISH MADE. It looks like SR 23 in the middle, and '317' stamped on the NDS

Of course, I may be wildly incorrect and it could be something else, so if you have any ideas, please shout.
    Ben
