-
• #958
Oh Bells, is it worth the risk?
And to all those ladies I know want to come but feel like they wouldn't be welcome or are too scared to come, please come!
I promise you none of us are scary and we really really want as many women playing polo as possible.
Also I think the girls will agree that ladies polo gives you a great opportunity to get alot better at polo. I think all of us have improved because of these sessions as you get a lot more time on the ball and we're very relaxed about the throw ins.
It doesn't matter how good you are, you're all really welcome.
Please come.
#not aimed at any one person. I know there are a few. -

If it wasn't a thursday night I'd be all over it but I've got Girl Guides on a thursday night...closer for me than peckenham too!

I shall put on my very thick skin and come embarrassing myself tomorrow, if I am not needed in the studios. I believe I have met a fair few ladies at various polo occasions. Gotta play as much as I can before I am back on the devil crutches next month :-(
What beer do people drink? Or is it a shots night tomorrow?

^ Blue crutches, Lish... pretty blue crutches. My surgery for my knee has been brought forward by months, so I have 2 more weeks of freedom and polo before having to take the flipping bus again for weeks... :-(

You at 56A tonight Lish? I need to pop round to use the pump since mine is a shambles...
And does the ladies night go ahead as usual if it rains?? -

It's only 2 days late (ahem...) But wanted to thanks for a great evening at Ladies on Thus. It was fun and thanks for being patient with me and my non existent polo skills. Looking forward to next time. :-)

dear ladies, we (Hackney Goal Slotters and Shifties) said we would play a team game this thursday at 8 at Newt...
We just realised that it will clash with you lot. Is it really bad to ask if we could play our three league matches at ladies polo with a throw in between each? Hopefully the other court will be free so we dont intrude but if its not....
Obviously cool if thats a pain for yous -
• #969
of course you can! we don't own thurs newt sessions. with the winter league, we understand that newt is in high demand. i say go for it.
-
• #970
nice one erin!
-
• #971
Could be tricky with us not knowing if we're playing until weds/thurs and with the need for lit courts for the league then.
We're obviously not going to stand in your way though, so go for it. -
• #972
it shouldent take too long anyway...

Hey I'm thinking about getting into bike polo, I have a few friends back in Cambridge who play but my lack of a basher bike and any coordination is rather off-putting at the moment. Would you mind if was just a bit of a creepy lurker watching until I got brave enough to play?

Ladies are always welcome at ladies polo but I'm not sure it will be on this week.
It might be better for you if you started at beginners on Tuesday in Peckham if you can make it? That way you can borrow the loaner bike and have a practice at the sides with the other noobs until you felt like you wanted to play.

It's a great place to learn polo and there are a few new ladies at beginners at the moment.
Or keep an eye on this thread to see if we're playing if you'd rather.
