^^^Just a casual spin in the park on friday afternoon! Carbon braking surface not trustworthy?
me and spotter are ordering carbon clincher rims with alu braking surface. Best of both worlds! (minus the weight advantages obviously) -

How do I use the Strava site with an iPhone? I've just signed up for an account. Do I just download the app and press record from a standing start at the roundabout, then stop at the end and stop it? Or can I do a flying lap and trim it down to the right stop/start points? I like the idea of linking to the recorded ride.

Now no more breaking lists people. The titles must stay bold

Cheers Toby, was about to do that. I see I'm not the only person with mild list-based OCD.

which way is generally believed to be faster? I've always preferred clockwise especially if I get a northerly wind

^^^ This! ^^ And this. First list I've ever been on, needs to be properly formatted.

As for Strava on the iPhone, yeah you just download the app, and hit go at the roundabout, cycle, press stop once you're done and because it has markers saved on it and the elapsed time and moving times are recorded it works out how fast you were for you. I don't think you need to quickly stop it recording when you're done is what I mean.

Cheers for that. According to their blog they have a cool new feature where you can crop rides: http://blog.strava.com/cropping-export-explorer-3775/
So I should be able to ride a few hundred yards past the roundabout, turn around and go for a flying start, and overshoot at the end, then trim it to exactly three laps. I'll need all the help I can get to get under an hour!

Running 74 GI. Bit of a grind on the second hill, but good for the long decent near the end... Tried it on 69 GI once, bloody nightmare! Fancy sticking a (F) or (G) after the times..?
Edit: Done it anyway...

Brilliant!
Only 33.5mph going down Sawyer's Hill? Pretty sure I was pushing 60 down there today
Doubt it! Are you not thinking km? Anyway, park rules are 20mph. So I shall be pointing this thread out to the park constabulary. Expect a visit.

Muleboy, just copy the heading and make a clockwise list underneath that one.
