Where did you find that? For sells?

Is Athena porn? It is the nicest silver group out there - and I'm planning to put it on one of my bikes - but something about it just doesn't look quite right. I think it's either the indelicate shape of the drive-side crank or the shade of silver used. I can't exactly put my finger on it.
Is it the only option for equipping an older steel frame in modern kit? Of course, carbon and black componentry more generally are precluded under the stipulations of good taste. (Not that I'm saying that the person who kitted out that Pegoretti has any.)
I think the monoplaner Athena brake calipers from the late 80's are pornworthy by themselves and are arguably the best looking calipers ever. The Gran Compe AGC100 come a close second(especially in black) but do not have the practically of the Athena's.
Would welcome constructive comments on other nominations for pornworthy brake calipers.

Wow, how good have the last few pages been?
This is the first bike I've seen that made the DA groupset look good:
The first IF build that is 100% sweet:
And these are just lovely:

Let me count the ways in which this is an incredibly dumb idea
Have to agree. Early Campagnolo quick release levers used to be straight but I believe were changed to the dog leg shaped design after a particularly nasty accident attributed directly to the straight lever design becoming entangled in the spokes of wheels. Whilst I appreciate the style and the obvious talent and flare of the fabricator, these should only be considered suitable for show bikes.
I also recall a particularly dangerous pair of cantilever brakes which clamped onto the fork blades of a machine, which were poorly designed and were a potential death trap. Despite this they were being touted as pornworthy.
Anything which could become entangled in wheels, throwing the rider from the machine, is potentially fatal.

AGC-300 are probably what you're thinking about.
Campag Deltas, EEBrakes, Modolo Kronos, AX-Lightness, M5 and Simkins Egg brakes all have their adherents, and edscoble probably wanks over Mafac centre pulls. I happen to like Revl, but that may be influenced by having shelled out on a pair. Shame I haven't bought the Simkins brake for my TT bike yet, as that sentence would have worked better.

You'll like this issue of Bicycle Quarterly then mdcc, it featured the EEBrakes (as well as a carbon Calfee).

agreed - i have a set of these which were designed basically with no cam so you just twist them on like a wing nut...
look nice but impossible to get tight and in the right place. i also particularly like the chunky wound up springs

USE Spin-Stix and DT RWS use the same flawed design, although the DT ones have a ratchet so you at least get the lever where you want it, and the 9mm (F) and 10mm (R) versions have the right thread size to allow them to be tightened properly without the combination of bolt tension and tightening shear exceeding the material limits of the skewer.
