Full* DA 7700 groupset very light use (~5-700miles), but a few marks on the cranks, shifters, any thoughts on price?
It's in that slightly difficult inbetween area. Not quite old enough to be vintage, but not new enough to be only-just outdated.
Looks like this (but with a different octalink crank):
*actually it's missing the DA/easton seatpost.

Was shopping around ebay and i found this:
Now it looks absolutely beautiful, i've always been a fan of retro look, however correct me if i am wrong but the price seems a bit steep for what it is? I will have to sell my current fixie to fund this, and i simply would not want to if it means downgrading, what do you reckon?

It looks utterly appalling, the bar covering is beyond belief. No mention of parts used, I see no redeeming features at that price or a quarter of it,
-

Haha, ok cheers :)
I thought the leather grip on the bars was quite nice tbh :P -

£500 IS steep. No mention of the tubeset nor the parts branding or spec. Looks good and better photograhs than most Ebay sellers but slick imagery won't follow you home and sit your hall. I'd guess he's making a tidy sum on this.
However, Falcon seems to hold some regard for our U.S cousins so it may not be such a bad frame but I'd run a mile due to the price and the cloying hipster brogue inclusion.

His previous offering was this:

Which got an equal amount of justified flak.Been quite a few comments/ links on here to it lately I'm starting to wonder if the seller has a few aliases on here....

Looks like he got a job lot of bondage bar tape.
Seriously though, I wouldn't spend £500 on that. It's just a cheap frame with cheap parts, freshly painted and nicely photographed.
-
• #385
i'd take £500 and use to to do up your current bike
-
• #386
500£ and you could make your own. to a higher standard. i'd happily pay like 200£ for it though.
-
• #387
and nicely photographed.
It's not even that. He has used too low an aperture as the front wheel is out of focus. Needs to go up a few stops to get the whole bike sharp. But anyway, that is the least of the problems...

That's a good deal on that bike for £500.
I'd buy it if I had the money.

You can see the rest of his stuff here!
He started cheap with decent conversions but the prices went to high now, for some extra powder coating!

I was the highest bidder in an eBay auction for a 2011 Fuji Track 2.0 but didn't hit the reserve price.
The guy claims it's in perfect condition, it's about 3 months old and has seen <60 miles on the road. He won't drop under £490 for it and I think that's a bit steep, what does the hivemind think?
-
• #391
Is it with all the original stock components?
I would say that the normal rule is that second hand things are worth 2/3 of their new price, although obviously if it is in mint condition it's not an unreasonable price.

Complete or split?
-
• #393
650 - 800. The wheels seem to go for the 250mark, which is why I asked about splitting.

^^^ nice Ciocc!

Is that a Tannoy Devon or Cheviot on the left of the picture? I've got a set of 1974 Devon myself and love them to death.
No, Epos Epic 2. Bought them in Feb, really really like them. Doesn't seem to be much blurb about them on t'net, relatively new I think, but I demo'd them against some B&W and KEF Q300 and much preferred these. Got a nice classic look to them.

Any idea how much a late 1980s aende lo pro, in really good condition frame and forks is worth?

Selling my road bike:
Alloy frame, carbon forks, full 105 group (18sp), sti shifters, Dura-ace hubs and cassette, openpro rims, gist saddle, itm seat pin, bars and stem.
Any ideas of value?
-

Alloy frame isn't very descriptive, what make?
-
• #400
yeah i realise that but not too sure, the bike was built by my old team mechanic so is just stickered up with his makers mark and the name of the team but I know it's italian in origin and 7005 alloy
