Architecture isn't any more high brow than any other form of expression that exists beyond the purely functional.

Common misconception and the first thing anyone ever says to me - "doesn't that take seven years?". No. It's a standard three year degree (Part 1) and then later on (after at least a year in work you have to do a compulsory masters (known as a diploma or Part 2). Then you go back to work and later you have to do some exams to get the . So it's a standard degree, a standard diploma and two years of standard paid work. It's not seven years doing one full-time course. Howeer
