You did need to answer. I've been on skinny lanes where riding two-abreast would take the whole "road". Oncoming cars generally pull into the passing areas to let us through in single file. Now and then they don't, of course.

As said this is not a skinny lane, this is a normal width road. Okay I knew that and you didn't but if the road was single lane I wouldn't have raised it as an issue as there is not often a right of way on a single lane road and I would expect to stop for cars, bike, pedestrians etc,.
