I just had to buy one of these style headsets from Ebay. Not cheap, but I´d look into it before doing anything like cutting that frame. Come to think of it, my frame had some regular cups in it when I got it. They were just about long enough to be fitted into the frame, without chopping anything. It´ll just raise the front of the frame a few millimeters.
