Yeah, I assumed that you'd only put it on for a couple of hours a day, obviously your mileage may vary.
For shits and giggles I put in a 6Kw coffee machine, left plugged in all the time, and got an estimated bill of ~£1,200 per month for that (assuming it was going flat out all teh time, which it would not, but...)
